The Memorial Elementary School PTO is made up of Parents, Teachers and School Administrators from the Memorial School Community. The PTO is led by an Executive Board comprised of elected officers from the Memorial Community.
The PTO supports the teachers, students and families of Memorial Elementary School. We foster the growth of the Memorial Community by volunteering our time to hold several social functions each year. We raise money by collecting dues and organizing several fundraising events. Money raised is used to support the teachers, students, families and all programs at the School. The PTO also organizes volunteers for field trips and all school related events.
PTO Meetings are held on one Thursday every month. 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM in the Memorial School Library. Everyone is welcome. Come by and see what it's all about.
Each Year the Memorial School PTO raises approximately $18,000 to support the needs of the school.

- Adults-only Fundraising Event
PTO Volunteers organize all social functions for the school, enabling kids to spend time outside of the classroom to build relationships. Parents are also given the opportunity to come together, strengthen friendships and foster school community.

- 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony
- Pancake Breakfast/Art Show
The PTO supports educational programs that come to Memorial to reinforce what is being taught in the classroom. Children in all grades benefit from these programs which include author visits, music, science and weather programs and various artist visits.
We subsidize the cost of hiring buses for class field trips throughout the year. Each class is provided with a free bus ride for one of their educational field trips each year compliments of the PTO.
Family Social Events
This committee plans all extra curricular events at the school. Ice Cream Socials, Family Picnic, Pizza Movie Night are just a few examples where kids and parents are getting together at the school just for fun!
End of Year Gifts for School
Past gifts include a portable audio system and an art/mural paper dispenser.
Supplies for Music and Art
Equipment and supplies are replaced as needed.
The PTO awards a scholarship each year to graduating High School Seniors that are alumni of Memorial School.
CONTRIBUTIONS: How We Spend The Money We Raise
Fifth Grade Committee
The PTO supports the 5th Grade Memory Book and all moving up activities associated with the 5th grade class.
We provide the water slide for this momentous occasion and also the water for the students. Parents get to see the kids enjoy going from station to station and competing against each other for fun.
We provide breakfast for the teachers 4 times a year. We ask volunteers to sign up to bring in goodies for the morning in appreciation for the teachers’ efforts each and every day. Also, each year we welcome back all of our parents with an evening of refreshments at a local restaurant.
From landscaping to subscriptions, retirement gifts to supplies, student scholarships and more, we are here to support our school in any way we're able.
